Welcome to Six Pixels Film & STEM Academy, where we offer enriching, hands-on visual arts education for youth ages 7-15 in moviemaking, stop motion, art and animation, video production and editing, movie acting, puppetry, set and prop design, cosplay and character development, and STEAM fundamentals such as robotics, circuitry, CAD design and 3-D printing.
Our year-round afterschool and homeschool programs, weekend classes and workshops, field trips, and special events allow students to immerse themselves in creative learning, while acquiring real-world career building skills such as leadership, communication, collaboration, problem solving, teamwork, storytelling, engineering and technology, equipping our students with a broad range of skills and knowledge.

Owner, Film & STEAM Instructor
Sarah’s expertise in visual arts centers on nurturing creativity and imagination, empowering young learners to express themselves through diverse artistic mediums. With a background in theater, writing, and business—and a deep passion for education—she brings over 20 years of experience to her students. Her multidisciplinary approach blends artistic expression with practical insight, creating engaging learning environments where creativity thrives and young voices are encouraged to grow.
Xandria Hopkins,
Film & Animation Instructor
With a degree in film and animation, Xandria brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to every session, ensuring students get the most out of their creative projects. She teaches courses in filmmaking, animation, makeup FX, character development and cosplay, and new broadcasting.
Jessica Levy,
Film Instructor & Editor
With a degree in film and post-production, Jessica's dynamic approach to film instruction challenges and inspires young minds to explore the fascinating world of filmmaking and editing. She teaches classes in filmmaking and serves as the primary editor for our students' projects.
